Great point - sometimes we put things off when someone else, without being tied into things, could do it in a fraction of the time and have no hangups over it.

A bit of office zen could do us all some good!

Great Interview! Congrats! Would love to hear more about the hedge funds he mentioned in the interview. It was difficult to hear. Did he mention a hedge fund in seattle?

Hi Hunter. Thanks for reading. I hate to give you a cliche answer and I could write pages and pages but would end up telling you. "Do what you are most passionate about."

As an attorney I wanted to do something crafty as well to add some creativity to the logic in my day. I get it. Biochemistry doesn't leave much room for creative departure.

You are smart to experiment while you have a good salary. I noticed you commented on the cupcake business article. This page is consistently the most read. And cupcakes are a tough biz. If you live in an area where you can charge $3+ and have people traffic, then go for it (but I fear the fad may end). Like you I LOVE to cook and also like apparel. So I started a body care business, added apparel and later restaurants.

To help you narrow. Choose what you truly love. For me I love bodywash, and I obsess over formulating them for my company Travertine Spa. I enjoy what I do so much that I have to make myself stop working. Really. (as I write this at 7:50 pm)

How about this? Give yourself 12 weeks (4 weeks to experiment in each field). It won't cost you much, you will have fun, and maybe decide which you enjoy more. One you move from the "thinking" to "doing" stage you will see practically what is involved.

Let me know how it goes and feel free to send me a cupcake, some soap and a shirt in large :)
