I just watched the Documentary Trouble The Water. This documentary contains live footage of rapper Kimberly Rivers’ experience during hurricane Katrina. Danny Glover and film makers worked together to create the finished work.
I sat still.
Fixated.
She gives the viewers a front row seat to the devastation, heartache and the governments abandonment of African Americans in Louisiana.
The Documentary won the Grand Jury Prize for Documentary at Sundance 2008, and numerous other awards.
What story do you have to tell? Will you even take the steps to begin telling it…or wait for “somebody” else to do it?
Wow. I hadn’t even heard of this movie. Looks really intense. Guess I’ll Netflix it…
