Social Networking

IS SO IMPORTANT.

No matter what size your business.

The days of finding business in the yellow pages are over, which was a local source anyway.  With the web you want people to be able to find your product, services, blog, easily.

People want to know what you are up to.  We keep our customers informed.

Here’s how.

Website
The need for this is basic.  Its a 24/7 business card.  We have a main site for Travertine Spa where anyone can join our bi-monthly newsletter and a custom domain for this blog, which you likely access. A custom domain costs a little more but gives your business a more professional appearance.

Facebook
We have a Fan Page on Facebook. Join us.
You can also follow this blog on Facebook.

Myspace
We use this to post celebrity photos and updates.

Twitter
Twitter allows you to send the equivalent of text updates to your network. Those interested in you can subscribe to your feeds.  Follow us on Twitter.

Tumblr
Like Twitter but you can add photos and more text

Linked In
Seems more like a network for people that you actually know, But there are now affiliate groups.  I am a member of the spa professionals related groups. Link to me.

The cool thing, is that you don’t have to go to each and every site to update them ( like I used to). If your website  or blog has a ping service (allowing you to enter data, photos etc. on one site and it automatically disseminated to your other social networking sites).  If you dont have a ping service. Ping.fm is good and free.

Ping.fm
Enter all your data in one place and then decide where you want it replicated.

Please share any tips you have in the Comments section.
