I changed careers.
I went from being a corporate attorney and working for one of the largest companies in the world, to creating my own brand of luxury body care products (TravertineSpa.com)
My parents were entrepreneurs. They were a great example to me of WHAT IT TAKES to run your own business. The sweat. Tears. Rewards.
As a kid, I viewed the working life as:
1. Educate yourself
2. Work for others to learn the practical side of business.
3. Take knowledge from No.2 and start your own business.
This is the plan I followed. This is the plan I live. I live a life I love.
My desire is that this blog and forthcoming book, will encourage you, motivate you and rekindle your ability to dream.
The economic times we live in are depressing, But I believe that there is always a silver lining. Have you been laid off? About to be? Just depressed?
Shake it off. See the opportunity in that you can start again. The fact that you may have lost something, just gives you room to take on more.
I’ll tell you my story. The stories of my friends. Someday, maybe you will share yours with me as well.
